Israel kills six Palestinians in West Bank, keeps pounding Gaza

The Israeli army has continued its deadly raids in the West Bank on Thursday, killing at least six Palestinians in air strike on a vehicle in the occupied territory’s Tubas area.

Two others were injured, one of whom was critically, and were taken to Tubas Turkish Governmental Hospital, as a result of the occupation bombing of a car near Tubas, the Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed.

Among those killed was the son of well-known Palestinian prisoner Zakaria al-Zubaidi.

A large number of Israeli troops stormed the Far’aa refugee camp in Tubas governorate, where explosions were heard. Reports also emerged that Israeli forces shot and killed a 16-year-old boy, and went on to drag him with a bulldozer.

The raid comes as forces also carried out air strikes on the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, targeting tents housing displaced Palestinians.

At least four people were killed in the attack, according to Palestinian media, and others injured.

Four other Palestinians were also killed in strikes on easter Gaza City and Khan Younis, also on Thursday.

The violence in the Palestinian territories comes as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been criticised by Hamas for jeopardising a ceasefire deal after he said late on Wednesday that “Israel will only agree to a permanent ceasefire in Gaza that guarantees the Philadelphi corridor border area between southern Gaza and Egypt”.
